Kathryn “Kathee” Facchiano, Principal
Kathryn “Kathee” Facchiano brings more than twenty years of Capitol Hill experience to theGROUP, having served in a senior leadership capacity for high-profile members of both chambers, across both parties, and in personal office and committee roles.
Before joining theGROUP, Kathee spent several years at another top D.C. lobbying practice, developing and implementing legislative and regulatory strategies for public and private organizations and associations across multiple issue areas. She prepared hearing witnesses and testimony, equipped both executives and grassroots for Hill and federal agency meetings, and regularly presented legislative and regulatory updates and policy briefs in board and corporate committee meetings.
Over the course of the two decades she worked in both the House and Senate, Kathee developed a reputation as a strategic thinker with deep operational understanding of Congress, keen policy insight, and long-standing relationships with key decisionmakers. Her Capitol Hill career reflects a consistent focus on problem-solving, coalition-building, and advancing solutions for organizations, communities, and stakeholders engaging the federal government.
Kathee began her public service career in the Senate with former Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA), later returning to Capitol Hill after law school to serve in the House for Congressman Randy Forbes (R-VA).
Kathee spent over a decade on the staff of Senator John Boozman (R-AR), joining when he was still a member of the House and continuing to serve in the Senate where she led legislative strategy on healthcare, transportation, water resources, judiciary issues, and Social Security issues.
Her portfolio expanded even further as Legislative Director and General Counsel to Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), supporting his work on the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. In 2017, she returned to the House as Chief of Staff to Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA), where she played a central leadership role in building the office, driving major policy initiatives on energy and homeland security, serving as liaison to House leadership and key Republican caucuses and coalitions, and securing significant federal investments for hurricane recovery, infrastructure, and other district priorities. Kathee also served as a senior member of Congressman Higgins’ political team, overseeing three re-election campaigns.
Kathee brings her deep understanding of Congress, bipartisan credibility, and results-driven record both on and off the Hill to theGROUP. She is eager to use these skills to deliver results for clients as they navigate the complex federal landscapes.
A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Kathee holds a B.A. from Tulane University and a J.D. from The Catholic University Columbus School of Law. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, Greg, and their two children.
