Eriade Williams, Principal

Eriade Williams is a Principal at theGROUP, where she leverages her public- and private-sector experience to advise a wide range of corporate clients across several industries, including defense, manufacturing, transportation, energy, healthcare, technology, and finance.

Before joining theGROUP, Eriade served at another top D.C. consulting firm counseling a broad range of clients across multiple industries and advising the firm’s defense industry clients on all aspects of the appropriations process, while also focusing on the firm’s outreach efforts to Democrats in Congress.

Before entering the private sector, Eriade was the Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for former Congressman Robert Brady (D-PA), who represented much of the City of Philadelphia. In addition to supervising the legislative staff, she handled the Armed Services Committee and foreign affairs portfolio, traveling extensively overseas and to several domestic U.S. military bases. She also was responsible for healthcare, transportation, judiciary, financial services, housing, and immigration among other policy issues in advising Congressman Brady.

Eriade began her career on Capitol Hill as the Press Secretary and the primary spokesperson for former Congressman Albert Wynn (D-MD), a senior member of both the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).

An active member of numerous civic organizations, Eriade serves as General Counsel for the Washington Government Relations Group, an Advisory Board Member for the Artists & Athletes Alliance and as a Board member for the National Institute of Lobbying & Ethics. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and has worked as an Appointed Attorney, representing indigent clients in felony and misdemeanor cases at their bail hearings.

Eriade received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University, her Master of Arts degree from Georgia State University and her Juris Doctor degree from American University’s Washington College of Law. She lives in Silver Spring, MD, with her family.
